About this song
A slow movement picturing a cold winter day spent by a warm fire, watching the rain outside. The solo violin's cozy melody is often called the loveliest song in "The Four Seasons". It is slow but full of sixteenths, so it is good for practicing exact fingers at a low speed.
Practice tips
It is very slow. Count each beat in four and play the sixteenths evenly.
Bars 3–4 climb by scale, drop an octave and climb again. Loop one bar at a time so your fingers do not tangle.
The G–F♯–G turn in bars 5–6 moves only the right middle finger (F♯).
