About this song
Schubert's gentle lullaby (D 498), "Schlafe, schlafe, holder, süßer Knabe". The whole eight-bar melody is here, moved a semitone lower to G major for saxophone.
Practice tips
In bar 1, the dotted eighth A and sixteenth B are "long-short", smoothly joined.
The four sixteenths in bar 2 (A–G–F♯–G) should move evenly; do not rush the fingers.
It is short, so loop it many times and get used to breathing at the ends of bars 2 and 4.
