About this song
Published by James Lord Pierpont in 1857. This page covers the chorus everyone knows. It repeats the same note often, which makes it good practice for tonguing.
Practice tips
In bars 1–2 keep your fingers still on B and separate the notes with your tongue: "too too too-".
In bar 3, G lasts one and a half beats and the A after it is short.
The high D at the end of bar 8 needs the octave key and all six fingers.
